16th Annual Montford Point Marine Day Ceremony
& Congressional Gold Medal Presentation

Join us as we celebrate and honor the Montford Point Marines.
The Montford Point Marines were the first African Americans who entered the United States Marine Corps from the period of 1942 to 1949, and trained at the segregated training facility, Montford Point Camp, New River, North Carolina.
During this event, we will also present the Congressional Gold Medal replica to the family of a Montford Point Marines, posthumously.

This is an outdoor event.
All personnel attending ceremony are subject to search by base PMO.
Limited parking at the Lejeune Memorial Gardens. Overflow parking across the street at the Veteran Cemetery.
