Tanner recently graduated from Banner Christian School with a 4.0 GPA. Tanner is a member of the National Honor Society where he served as the President in his senior year. Additionally, Tanner was voted as the Vice President of the Executive Student Government Association for two years.

For his sophomore and junior accomplishments, he was voted Defensive MVP to Banner’s basketball team and most outstanding runner for their track team.
When not on the field or studying, Tanner keeps busy with multiple groups and organizations. Tanner is no stranger to giving back to his community. Through Bright Beginnings, a volunteer program at the YMCA, Tanner participates as a “Shopping Buddy” allowing him to build relationships with underprivileged students and ensuring children are prepared and confident for the school year. For several years Tanner has served in the local church by feeding the needy, assisting with Vacation Bible School, and aiding the children’s church staff with lesson plans and skits.
In the fall Tanner will attend the Virginia Military Institute and major in International Studies and Political Science. Tanner plans to commission in the Army and pursue a career as an attorney.
