Continuing Education for Veterans

Sailor-Marine American Council On Education Registry Transcript (SMART)

SMART assists servicemembers in obtaining ACE-recommended college credit for military training and occupational experience.

An official transcript endorsing and recommending college credit for military education and training and recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE) increases college credit awarded, enhances opportunities to complete a college degree, and offset tuition assistance costs through increased college and university recognition of military schools and experience for credit.

Military Transcript Requests

You may be able to waive your physical education course requirements and receive credits for your military training or education.  The first step you need to complete to claim credits is to request a transcript for your military service.  Each service will provide unofficial personal copies of your transcript and send an official copy to your institution at no charge.  Each branch of the military has their own system for recording your military education and experience credits.
